Aster
GCHB Bark Bark N Wild Spirit's Desert Star
Aster, our second co-foundation dog, began her show career early and made an immediate impression. She won her first three AKC 4–6 Month Puppy Best in Show competitions in Texas before officially entering the regular AKC show ring at just six months of age on June 12, 2018. Barely a month later, Aster finished her AKC Championship on July 21, 2018 in Houston, Texas. She went on to earn her AKC Grand Championship in Dallas on December 9, 2018—just three days shy of her first birthday.
Over the course of her career, Aster distinguished herself as a truly competitive Samoyed. She earned multiple Owner-Handled Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show wins. In addition to those top honors, Aster accumulated 32 National Owner-Handled Series Group One placements, a level of consistency that speaks to her durability, soundness, and sustained excellence in the ring. In 2019, Aster ranked as the #6 Owner-Handled Samoyed in the country, qualifying her for the National Owner-Handler Series Finals in Orlando, Florida. There, she was awarded Best of Breed at the NOHS Finals and Select Bitch at the AKC National Championship.
Aster earned her AKC Bronze Grand Championship in October 2021 and achieved NOHS Gold Level status in 2022, becoming only the 14th Samoyed in breed history to earn this distinction. Beyond her individual accomplishments, Aster has made a lasting contribution as a producer. From her single litter, she produced two AKC Champions, a National Specialty Award of Merit winner, and earned First Place Brood Bitch at the 2024 National Specialty—the highest recognition a breeding female can receive.
