Our Retirees
Loved beyond the ribbon.
Every dog who has worn the Wild Spirit name has given us something irreplaceable — whether it was a championship title, a treasured litter, or simply the joy of being exactly who they are. Retirement isn’t an ending here. It’s a celebration.
When the time comes to retire from showing and breeding, each dog’s next chapter is chosen with the same care and intention we put into every decision we make for our program. Whether they remain close to home or settle into a carefully chosen placement, their wellbeing always comes first.
These dogs built our program, shaped our vision, and left paw prints on our hearts that will never fade. We are endlessly grateful for each one of them.
Sadie & Aster — Co-Foundation Dogs
Sadie and Aster are full biological sisters from different litters, sharing the same DNA and forming the genetic backbone of our program. Together, they represent the balance of structure, temperament, and breed type we strive to preserve and refine. Their combined influence continues to guide our breeding decisions and shape the long-term direction of our kennel.

Meet Sadie
Sadie is one of our two foundation dogs, joining us at just 11 weeks of age. A GCH and producer of three AKC Champions, she remains a cornerstone of Wild Spirit Samoyeds both genetically and philosophically.

Meet Aster
Aster is our second co-foundation dog and one of the most accomplished Samoyeds in our program's history. A GCHB and NOHS Gold Level titleholder — only the 14th Samoyed in breed history to earn this distinction — she is also the dam of two AKC Champions, a National Specialty Award of Merit winner, and recipient…

Meet Marcy
Marcy holds a special place in our hearts as our first home-bred girl and Wild Spirit Samoyeds' first AKC Bred-By Champion — a milestone that marked a turning point for our program. Feisty, confident, and unmistakably herself, she embodies everything we strive for in soundness, character, and joy of life.
